Ao abrigo de uma Bolsa Fulbright para Investigação com o apoio da FLAD e no âmbito do seu mestrado em ‘Biochemistry’ da Universidade do Porto, Miguel Correia desenvolveu parte da sua pesquisa sobre ‘cellular aging’ no Buck Institute for Research on Aging, CA, EUA.

«My experience in the Bay Area was truly incredible and life-changing. Being in one of the top hubs for aging studies, I focused on the connections between the cytoskeleton and organelles in cellular aging. The supportive environment helped me explore new areas within aging research, making the experience even more valuable. Outside the lab, I embraced the energy and diversity of San Francisco. I enjoyed exploring its neighborhoods, trying new foods, and soaking in the city’s unique culture. I also had the chance to share my own culture with incredible new friends, turning the experience into a true exchange.
