Ao abrigo de uma Bolsa Fulbright para Investigação, Margarida Freitas, estudante de doutoramento em “Clinical and Health Services Research” da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto, desenvolveu parte da sua pesquisa sobre “Orthobiologic Therapies” na Harvard Medical School-Boston Children’s Hospital, MA, EUA.

«Being a Fulbright researcher in the United States was much more than an academic experience. My time at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School challenged me to grow as an independent researcher, build international collaborations, and see my work from a broader perspective.”
Along the way, I started treating community not as something that happens to you, but as something you construct, deliberately, one relationship at a time. Through volunteering, sports, the arts, and the many people I met, Boston became not only a place, but a community I felt part of.
