«This Fulbright grant allowed me to live one of the craziest experiences of my life so far. Living abroad in the USA and experiencing the academic culture of Boston was nothing short of extraordinary, especially because I was able to work with leading experts in my field of research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Boston was an incredible city to live in. I often heard that it was one of the most “European-like” cities in the US, and it really lived up to that. I found it very walkable and full of beautiful parks where I could just relax. One of my favorite things was watching the seasons change in those parks, from vibrant summer greens to classic New England Fall oranges, and finally to a moody, snowy winter. I was able to experience all the festivities, from Halloween, to Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

I couldn’t be that close and not visit New York City. Seeing such an iconic place in person was a huge highlight for me.

Overall, this experience was very transformative, on a professional and personal level, I am extremely happy to have applied and decided to embark on this journey, and grateful to the Fulbright Commission for having granted me this opportunity.»
