Ao abrigo de uma Bolsa Fulbright para Investigação com o apoio da FLAD, Ana Paula Condesso, estudante de mestrado em Filosofia Moral e Política da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, desenvolveu parte da sua pesquisa sobre “ethical implications of reproductive technologies and genetic manipulation” na University of South Carolina, SC, EUA.

«My Fulbright experience was transformative both academically and personally. I deepened my knowledge of biomedical ethics while living in a beautiful, peaceful place that was also full of life, with concerts and basketball games at the Colonial Life Arena! The most amazing part was gaining a “South Carolina family”—my supervisor’s family. I attended most of their Sunday dinners and shared Thanksgiving and Christmas with them. It was incredible to feel truly immersed in American culture!»
