Once again, the Commission hosted the Fulbright Thanksgiving Luncheon 2025, an event that we have organized now for over 25 years and always provides a unique opportunity for Fulbrighters to meet, create a network of valuable contacts and establish long lasting bonds.
This year we gathered Fulbrighters – the Portuguese who have recently returned from the U.S. or are preparing to depart for their Fulbright experience, as well as the Americans that are now in Portugal developing their projects;
a number of alumni, from all generations, that keep coming back to our Thanksgiving Celebration and giving back to the Fulbright Commission in so many ways; Board Members and representatives from partner institutions. We would like to thank Joana Gomes, Julia Lininger-White and Inês Silva de Almeida for giving their testimony about their experience!
We were delighted also to welcome as guest speaker Ambassador John J. Arrigo, Ambassador of the United States of America to Lisbon and Co-Honorary Chair of the Fulbright Commission, who has already voiced his commitment to the development of strong economic, educational and cultural ties between Portugal and the U.S.
Fulbright Portugal would like to thank its community for the continued collaboration and engagement towards International Educational Exchange.
