Sydney Chinchanachokchai (Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Akron. Her primary research areas are multitasking, advertising avoidance, cross-cultural consumer behavior, diversity in advertising, and advertising effectiveness. She has published articles that appeared in the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Computers in Human Behavior, and International Journal of Advertising among others. Focusing on student experience and community engagement, she has received multiple awards including Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award, Faculty Engagement Award, and Passion Award. She is recently recognized as Akron Community Engaged Scholar who demonstrates commitment to public impact.
