Dr. Jeanie Bukowski is an Associate Professor of International Studies and the Faculty Director of the Office of Global Studies and Initiatives at Bradley University. Her Ph.D. in Political Science is from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her teaching includes courses on European integration and the science and politics of global climate change. She has researched transboundary water management and epistemic communities on the Iberian Peninsula. For her Fulbright, she will be utilizing the social-ecological systems framework in a comparative study of the Regional Network of Protected Areas of the Açores and the Guanacaste Conservation Area in Costa Rica.
