Sophie Adelman
Sophie Adelman is a 2020-21 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), teaching at the Faculdade de Ciências Humanas at UCP – Lisboa. She is planning an English language curriculum rooted in American media & culture to explore current social issues and to foster an open dialogue with students. When she is not teaching, Sophie is excited to learn about the influence of Kuduro music and the history of the Angolan diaspora in Portugal. Adelman graduated from Barnard College in 2019, where she studied history. Before the Fulbright, Sophie worked at Norwegian Consulate General in New York in consular affairs.
