Mariana Dias is a Master in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She is a Ph.D. student from the MIT Portugal Program on the areas of “Data Science” and “Digital Transformation in Manufacturing” and she is currently working at LibPhys-Biosignals, NOVA FCT. Her research work is focused on the development of Deep Neural Networks to process and extract patterns from biosignals. As a Visiting Student Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in Cambridge, Mariana will be engaged in applying Transfer-Learning to biosignals neural networks for its application on the evaluation of occupational risk.
