Francisco is a master’s student at the University of Aveiro in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. His thesis will focus on new remote sensing techniques for ocean observation, precisely internal waves detection. Using recent technology on Cubesats, machine learning techniques, and additional help from the team at Skidaway Institute of Oceanography – University of Georgia as part of the SeaHawk – SOCON Project, it will be a breakthrough for oceanographers and academics to decipher the ocean’s secrets.
