Ana Paracana is a Physical Engineering PhD student from the University of Aveiro. The student aims to develop an innovative and efficient Crystalline Organic Photovoltaics. This involves the study and application of different organic semiconductors, fabrication processes and optical/electrical characterization techniques. Ana’s goal is to develop stable photovoltaic panels with low production costs, so that the solar energy can be more accessible to everyone. As a visiting student researcher, she will be given the opportunity to do research at the University of California, Santa Barbara, within the Nguyen Research Group, where she will learn and apply different strategies regarding the fabrication and characterization of organic solar cells.
