The Fulbright Commission is proud to announce the results of the Fulbright Portuguese and U.S. Student Research Awards with the support of FLAD.

The partnership between these two institutions was first established in 2004 to support American students who would like to conduct research in Portugal, for a full academic year. In 2019, the partnership was extended in the opposite direction to support Portuguese Master’s students, interested in pursuing a research project in the United States as part of their program in Portugal, during a period of 4 months.

Three Portuguese and two U.S. students were nominated for selection: Ana Sofia Costa (Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship); Miguel Correia (Biochemistry) ; Pedro Monteiro (Rehabilitation and Mental Health) for the Portuguese Student Program; and Ellena Privitera (Public Health) and Stephen Crocker (Social Work) for the U.S. Student Program:
