On August 1st, 2021, we celebrated the 75th anniversary of President Harry S. Truman’s signing of the act that launched the Fulbright Program. The August issue of the U.S. Department of State’s official multimedia publication, State Magazine, featured an article on the anniversary and the impact of the program: “Fulbright has evolved into a truly global program and is as strong as ever”, said Mary Kirk, director of the Office of Academic Exchange Programs which manages the Fulbright Student and Scholar Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).
