Diana Rodrigues, Universidade do Minho – Massachusetts Institute of Technology

September 2019 (4 months) – Neuroscience

Diana’s research objective is to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying stress response and its long-term impact on brain function. As a Visiting Student Researcher at McGovern Institute, MIT, she hopes to learn how to combine electrophysiological recording with single cell RNA sequencing technology to identify gene expression changes in functionally defined neurons. This new technique will greatly facilitate Diana’s PhD project.
