Luís Ferreira just started the second year of his Ph.D in Medical Biotechnology. His project seeks to develop advanced immunocompetent 3D in vitro models through the conjugation of ECM-derived material into 3D-bioprinting processes. While at the University of Penn, in the Department of Bioengineering, Luís will be working in hydrogels and in the development of in vitro models for the screening of therapeutics.
