Fran Siegel
Fran Siegel’s drawings and installations engage location-based research that traverses landscape, culture, and materiality. Her work is in numerous permanent collections including at LACMA, MOCA, The Morgan Library and Yale University (where she earned her MFA). Siegel’s numerous international residency fellowships include a Fulbright to Brazil, representation of the US in Ecuador’s Cuenca Biennial, and inclusion in two Getty Pacific Standard Time research initiatives resulting in a 2017 solo exhibition at UCLA’s Fowler Museum, and a 2024 exhibition of four Southern California Wetland Restoration sites. Her permanent tiled mural for LA Metro’s La Brea and Wilshire station is slated to open in 2025.
