Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Julia Clark is a proud Brazilian-American and a 2023 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and African and African American Diaspora Studies. At UNC, Clark has been a prominent advocate in the fields of racial equity and education. As the President of The Black Student Movement, Julia is a powerful voice of change and has been featured in publications such as The Washington Post, USA Today, and CNN. Currently, Clark works to close opportunity gaps as a teacher at the Chapel Hill Boys and Girls Club. In the future, she plans to obtain her doctorate in Africana studies and pursue research regarding global education policy.
