Mayson Whipple is a PhD student in the Chemical Engineering and Materials Science department at Michigan State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from North Central College and an MS in Membrane Engineering from the NOVA School of Science and Technology – Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. Her research focuses broadly on drug addiction treatment – from developing novel opioid vaccines and an effective delivery platform to exploring the societal steps necessary for mitigating the opioid epidemic.
