James Bennett is a writer and translator from San Diego, California. He is a former U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique, as well as the recipient of a Fulbright Grant to Mozambique (2017) and to Portugal (2021). He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Arizona State University and currently teaches English as a Second Language for Spanish-speaking professional baseball players with the San Diego Padres.
