Inês Catarino received her master’s degree in Linguistics at the University of Lisbon. Currently, she works as a Portuguese teacher for foreign students and collaborates with multiple institutions in the city. Her passion for teaching has given her the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world, who bring unique experiences and perspectives to her classroom.

During her grant, she will be working as a Language Teaching Assistant at the University of Oregon, where she will assist and teach Portuguese classes, prepare teaching resources, lead communication sessions and participate in cultural events. She will celebrate Portuguese culture and promote cultural understanding and diversity at her host institution. In the upcoming academic year, she looks forward to learn and reflect upon current teaching methods and modern approaches to language teaching in a great academic setting.
