Gisela Armada
Gisela Armada is currently a PhD student in Health Sciences at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute, School of Medicine, University of Minho. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the interplay between the proteostasis regulator SNX27 and stress and its impact on the modulation of reward circuits. As a Visiting Student Researcher at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Gisela will work at Slesinger’s Lab studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying substances of abuse disorders, particularly the involvement of GIRK channels modulated by SNX27.
