Tiago Fernandes
Tiago is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering, and he is developing his project at LASEEB -IST University of Lisboa, focusing on Magnetic Resonance tools and techniques aiming for its accessibility, more specifically looking for longitudinal and quantitative analysis of Knee and Hip imaging. Supported by the Fulbright program, Tiago will have the chance to visit the Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Institute, Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, in New York, under the collaboration with Dr. Sairam Geethanath, an expert in MR sequence design and accessible tools for MR. His stay will greatly impact Tiago’s work by enriching his expertise in the field, by enabling collaboration with a wider team, and increasing his ability to solve a sensitive issue in the field of medical diagnosis.
