Beatriz is a PhD student in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research, University of Coimbra. She has been focused on understanding the role of zinc ions in allosteric transcription factors. At Cambridge, Massachusetts, Beatriz will collaborate with the Prather Research Group. As a visiting student researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she will have the opportunity to validate the efficiency of in silico designed allosteric transcription factors, aiming to achieve new programmable transcription factors.
