Ana Catarina is currently a 1st year PhD student of the PhD program on Biomedical Sciences from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Porto. She has been developing her PhD project at Instituto for Research and Innovation in Health – i3S, University of Porto, Portugal in the group “Immunology, Cancer & Glycomedicine” led by Salomé Pinho, focusing on the impact of T cell glycosylation in colorectal cancer progression. At the University of Pittsburgh / UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, she will work at Greg Dolgoffe’s Lab on T cell genetic editing and evaluate its anti-tumor immune response.
