Inês Gregório
Inês Gregório research aims to unravel the adaptive potential and resilience of deep-sea habitat-forming sponges to climate change. During her stay at the University of Rhode Island, the student will have the opportunity to expand her knowledge in ecological modelling and assess which environmental factors drive the distribution of sponges and predict how their ranges may shift under future climate change scenarios. Ultimately, Inês goal is to advance the knowledge and support the sustainable management and conservation of remote deep-sea ecosystems.
