Bernardo de Magalhães e Menezes aims to expand the research on Garden and Landscape History as a cultural discipline by examining how writings about landscapes inform our ways of seeing and shaping them today. He will be studying for a Ph.D. in the Constructed Environment, in the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia. This degree will allow Bernardo to combine his previous education in Landscape Architecture (University of Porto), History of Art (University of Porto), and Garden and Landscape History (University of London), and mature his career in Academia, both in research and teaching.
