From May 22-24 the Executive Directors of the 49 Fulbright Commissions worldwide gathered in Washington DC for the first time in 15 years for a global meeting.

The meeting was organized by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. State Department and also had the participation of members of the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

The sessions were also enriched by the contributions of colleagues from the State Department and other organizations such as the Institute of International Education, World Learning, the Smithsonian Institution, and Fulbright Program Advisors at U.S. Universities.

Overall it was an excellent opportunity for all involved to analyse new trends in Higher Education and their impact in the Fulbright Program and to share best practices around pressing and common issues such as Diversity and Inclusion, Engaging Alumni and Fundraising.
