Catarina Abreu de Pinho
Assistente Administrativa / Administrative Assistant
Catarina Abreu de Pinho, natural de Aveiro, veio para Lisboa tirar a licenciatura em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais no Instituto de Estudos Políticos da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (IEP-UCP), acabando por prosseguir o mestrado em Governance, Leadership and Democracy Studies, no mesmo Instituto. Durante a licenciatura, esteve 5 meses em Florença, Itália, ao abrigo do Programa Erasmus, mais precisamente na Università Degli Studi di Firenze (UniFi), onde ganhou o gosto e interesse pela Política Externa Chinesa e a sua história contemporânea, estando, por isso, a desenvolver a sua tese de mestrado dentro do tema. No verão de 2022, realizou um curso de quatro dias no Instituto Universitário Europeu (EUI), Florença, em Agile Governance, que lhe abriu os horizontes para aquilo que é a nova forma de governar do século XXI.
Depois de ter realizado um estágio na área dos Public Affairs, decidiu embarcar numa nova aventura como Assistente Administrativa na Comissão Fulbright, cargo que assumiu em Novembro de 2022.
Nos tempos livres, adora viajar, de ir a concertos e de estar com os amigos.

Catarina Abreu de Pinho, born in Aveiro, came to Lisbon to take her bachelor’s in political science and International Relations at the Institute for Political Studies of the Catholic University of Portugal, ending up taking a master’s degree in Governance, Leadership and Democracy Studies, at the same Institute. During her degree, she spent 5 months in Florence, Italy, under the Erasmus Program, more precisely at the Università Degli Studi di Firenze (UniFi), where she gained a taste and interest for the Chinese Foreign Policy and its contemporary history, thus being developing her master’s dissertation on the subject. In the summer of 2022, she took a four-day course at the European University Institute (EUI), in Florence, on Agile Governance, which opened her horizons to what is the new way of governing in the 21st century.
After completing an internship in Public Affairs, she decided to embark on a new adventure as an Administrative Assistant at the Fulbright Commission, a position she assumed in November 2022.
In her free time, she loves to travel, go to concerts, and spend time with friends.
