Pre-Departure Meeting for Graduate Students
Fulbright Graduate Students AY2010/2011 begin their programs in the US
On July 2nd, the Fulbright Commission gathered the 2010/2011 Portuguese Fulbright Graduate Students for their pre-departure orientation meeting.
The meeting brought together the Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission, the Program Coordinator and the Program Assistant and two Fulbrighters, who provided priceless counseling to those who are now embarking on the Fulbright adventure. The Commission would like to thank the highly experienced Fulbrighters Tiago Castela and André Alves for their precious assistance to their new Fulbright colleagues.
The students were briefed on bureaucratic and practical issues regarding their departure and future life in the USA. They were also informed about the academic environment in the US and the natural cultural shock they may face overseas.
